Oh why do I get shivers down my spine when I see a snake. Especially when they are coiled up like that.
Hi Jill .. I remember my father hatching grass snake eggs from the compost heap (if he disturbed the clutch while turning it) in our house .. could never get to grips with them .. but perhaps it stemmed from earlier in Cornwall - stepping one one as a 5 year old .. and running .. still running!
Good for Casey that he's unafraid to pick it up .. a learning experience ..
